Eat & Learn: Joe Charat Talks About What Goes Into Making Consumers (and Agents) Happy

Joe Charat headshotThis month we are lucky to have Joe speak to us about how real estate professionals assess renter and agent demands and deliver solutions based on those demands.

Modern real estate agents, buyers, and renters expect more from the online real estate experience and industry websites need to constantly innovate and evolve in order to meet these increasing expectations.

Joe Charat will discuss how companies like Naked Apartments assesses the needs of their users and build products to meet those demands.  He’ll discuss the tools they use (many of which can be easily implemented by any website owner) in order to develop a metric-driven approach to assessing customer desires and habits.  Joe will then review their product development strategy and reveal various key findings they’ve uncovered, including where renters are conducting their searches, how to get in front of renters and buyers at the right time, and what they expect from their brokers.

About Joe Charat

Before Naked Apartments, Joe served on the management team at BuyerZone, where he oversaw the Emerging Business Department, which incubated new business concepts, and the Online Marketing Department, which managed the company 15+ million dollar marketing budget. BuyerZone was acquired by Reed Elsevier (NY: RUK).

Before his career in web applications, Joe worked in Mexico for a pioneering company in the global seafood industry. The company air freighted over 4,000 tons of sashimi grade fish, which was auctioned in Tokyo’s Tsukiji fish market.  He reported to the CEO as a Project Manager, assisting with operations, marketing, investor relations, and financial planning and analysis.

Joe graduated cum laude from Harvard University.
